PFMEA
Course objective
The Process FMEA (PFMEA) is a methodology and an elementary analytic tool to ensure all the manufacturing requirements and failure modes of both the product and process had been taken into consideration. In this training the participant will learn how to link a DFMEA, a PFMEA and a Process Control Plan (PCP).

Workshop objetive

Welding
Course objective
The participants will learn how to create a welding management system with a foundation on continuous improvement with special attention on defects prevention, variation and waste reduction on the supply chain by diagnosing and assessing jointed components under the methods of arc welding and spot-welding. To achieve this all the specific customer requirements are discussed with basis on the international standards: AWS & ISO with alignment to GM specs: GMW14058/14057/15563 and CG-4352, GM1927-16b, CQI-15 & PPAP all related to the welding process.

Course objective

Course objective

GD&T
Course objective
Prepare the participants for the correct interpretation of the GD&T language (engineering drawings) as well as the requirements for the components and assemblies to fulfill the fit and function expectations at the GM Assembly plants. The checking fixtures approval guideline is also discussed to better understand the interaction process with the GM Dimensional and SQ&D teams that will lead to parts discrimination on the production set-up process. The course concludes with an overview of the Matching process and the readiness expected from the suppliers.

SPPS GM1927-17
Objetivo del curso
This training is a walk through the GP5 procedure / Supplier Problem Practical Solution. It is assumed that the participants are not familiar with this procedure. The participant will get familiar with the process for a better root cause analysis as part of the support to the GM plants. Basic elements of problem resolution are discussed where good and bad examples are reviewed. Supplier’s rights and obligations are also discussed to better understand how to react when a SPPS is issued (formerly known as PR&R)
